Radyserb and Jerec.
No, it was a standoff
Are there any games going that you would say could end up on a scale such as this one?
Both Blitzkriegs, Bonaparte, Imperialism
The Imperialism game is quite exciting, I have little idea how players would line up in a war situation.
Do BK games tend to end in stalemates or are the Axis usually the underdog?
The Bk games tend to end with an Axis victory (together with Japan) when one of the allied nation are ruled by a newbie player. But in the current game, Karlheinz is a very good player and Radyserb is playing both Russia and USA, two of the best with huge industrial output. I (as Japan) am able to deal with the British, but i'm expecting a godamn invasion from the US.
In the new BK game none of the allies are ruled by newbies, expect France, but France does not matter much.
Knowing Rebelious Japan won't be going down without a serious fight. Never played with Eivind before so I have no idea what he's capable of.
If his playing is anything like his scenario making though, it's not going to be an easy fight for the Allies.
do you consider yourself newbie?
Aye. I have never actually been in a seroius war in a civ 2 PBEM yet.
Expect perhaps the Star Wars game, but it's very much unlike these ones.
Yes, he is a newbie, so much senseless entertainers in Paris
Hm, I guess they are senseless. I must admit I´m not too good at managing happiness. Under communism, having a city celebrate means it produces an extra arrow of trade in every square, right? That was what I was trying to achieve, but it seems not to be working.
Don't do that with Entertainers. They are more or less useless at least in scens. If you want happiness, increase the luxury goods you afford and build the corresponding buildings (market place, bank, stock exchange, highways).

Right, but France isn't in communism, monarchy or fundamentalism It's republic, and there you cannot increase further the trade arrow-production with celebrations. In Republic and Democracy, the population rises every turn a city celebrate +1, IF there is a grain surplus and special buildings if necessary (Aqueduct, sewer system, here Public Utilities and Highways). But in general, I think it's quit senseless to increase the already large population of Paris
